This week I wanted to share with you a lovely first evening in Maui, Hawaii.
I watched the sun set over the horizon and distant island of Molokai as dark cumulus clouds wandered in.
My wife found a pretty flower on the grass and put it in her hair. She looked so pretty.
We drove a couple hours across Maui toward Black Sand Beach. We drove a perilous road, known for its accidents because of endless turns and sudden changes from double lanes to single ones. Sometimes the lanes would change even as we were going around corners.
We saw beautiful waterfalls along the way. Unfortunately, it was too late when we finally got to Black Sand Beach to actually see the color of the sand or even to go down the now gated and closed State Park to the ocean.

After it began to get dark, we went shopping in all the quaint little shops along the shore and found some nice things to buy and take home. 🙂
All in all, we had a really lovely time!
