Jim Rohn believed highly in achieving your goals. Here are three basic ways he explained how to do this:

Write down what your goals are!

While you’re doing this, I would suggest writing down one each day, either a 5 – 10 year goal, 1 year goal or a 3 – 6 months goal. Write down one a day till you get to 100. Why 100? Because each day you write down a goal, you will be helping your mind focus on your success. This is crucial both in helping put your mind in the right frame and also so you can start thinking about how to achieve them.

Achieve your goals by having more influence:

Influence is created by having superior skill and by people trusting you. In order to have superior skill, develop your skills each day. In order for people to trust you, become a person of honesty and integrity.

Achieve your goals by making more money.

Make more money by using this formula:

“Profits are better than wages.”

Remember that you can always increase your profits in your own business

but you can NOT always increase your wages at a job.

You can increase your profits by getting better,

by finding better wholesale prices,

by getting more customers or all of the above.

The Power of Influence

“Be around people that will encourage you to grow…

…not those that will discourage you or have you doing things that waste your time.”

Have you noticed how much influence your friends have on you?

Jim Rohn really affected my idea of what influence my friends are having on me.* Along with many other ideas on this page, he used to always say:

“What do your friends have you doing and is that okay?”

.What things are they encouraging you to see, what books are they encouraging you to read?

Who are your three closest friends? Are they helping you to be successful in your your life’s journey?

Think about this scenario:

To attract attractive people, become more attractive.

To attract more powerful people, become more powerful.

To attract more committed people, become more committed.

Try also to be around people you admire.

If you move down the path of becoming a better person, you will eventually run into those people you are becoming like.

If you show the desire to improve and have some ambition, leaders often will begin to allow you more and more into their world. Of course not all leaders are good but find the ones you admire and try to be around then more.

You open yourself up to a whole world of knowledge, with different associations and influences.

What will it be? Achieving your dream or living with regret?

“I know you’ve heard to live each day wisely…” *

I’m sure you’ve heard this before. LOL!

But it’s true. Days are expensive! …use them wisely“

Many often say: “I don’t have time to set goals because I have to work and pay the bills”

Jim Rohn shared many of these little tips of wisdom. Like if you don’t accomplish your dream you will regret it. And he would say the pain of regret is way heavier than the pain of discipline.

Pay attention to the Time Management Trap:

Someone will “master” and someone will “serve.”

The “urgent” is a tyrant of a master but the “important” must be mastered or the tyrant will master you.

If you don’t follow your plan you will fall into someone else’s plan.

Either you run the day or it will run you.

Every day has many opportunities but only one BEST opportunity.

You have accomplished doing the most important things if at the end of the day you have got further toward accomplishing your goals.

I hope these thoughts help you to reorganize your life and come out a winner!

By the way, here’s a thought: Work full time on your job and part time on your dream.

My Personal Story

For many years I wanted a way to create extra income and eventually work my way out of a job. I was tired of doing the same thing and being a wage slave. I’m guessing you can relate!

Here’s a little about my journey:

In 2012 I lost my job as a teacher when our school lost funding.

I tried to create a full time income for myself that first year but failed miserably.

That year I lost all my investment money trying to create an online business that payed. I was either scammed or told false promises. It was a tough road. But I never gave up. That’s a key element right there if you want to know.

All in all I’ve been in 40 opportunities. Yes I’ve made $1000’s in some of them but could not seem to create the consistency that it took to change my life.

I knew somewhere down deep it all stemmed with a lack of understanding advertising. Now I know with ANY business you start, you have to learn advertising or you might as well just quit.

Another thing that changed for me was the ability to work with a good mentor who has been down the road and done it.

This has been my life line and I think will be yours too.

Today I want to share with you about what kind of Success you’re ATTRACTING?

Is it the kind of success you really want?

All really good questions.

Has our success brought us the time to really do the things in life we want to do?

Are our dreams just an area “out” there that we hope to get to one day? We of course want to have the free time to accomplish our dreams but find ourselves moving from one excuse to the next of why it hasn’t happened yet.

It might be all starting or not starting with your thoughts. The Law of Attraction is a real law. So think about what you are attracting…

Sometimes I get so busy with my own activities and work, I forget how I’m feeling inside about them or my life. But how you feel DOES make a difference. It makes a difference in how you act and that attracts a certain kind of success or failure.

You do become what you think about!

The Bible says: “As a man thinks, so is he.”

In the end training your mind to clear the sickly and despairing thoughts away is important!

In the book The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles explains how one should be focusing on the best things, the excellent things and become like them instead of the mediocre.

This all has to do with getting your thoughts out of the negative arena and into the bright, exciting and motivating. Spend your life thinking about the best and the excellent things.

But it’s more than just creating “happy thoughts.” You know honesty attracts truth and honesty starts in your mind. So getting your mind in order is a big job.

So is attracting a certain kind of income in your life. It doesn’t happen by accident. A kind of residual income that gives you more free time. I’m transitioning here slightly.
